Raiders of the East
Raiders of the East turns its base game into a journey rather than treating every spin as an isolated event. The session begins with 5 reels, 3 active rows and 243 ways to win, but a fourth row remains hidden above the grid. Ship Symbols gradually improve the Flying Wild mechanic as play continues, and collecting a complete fleet of 60 Ships unlocks Shogun's Treasure, permanently expanding the game to 4 active rows and 1024 ways for the remainder of the session. Winning combinations are formed across consecutive reels from left to right, with matching symbols able to occupy different vertical positions because the game uses ways rather than fixed paylines. Samurai, ninja, tiger and other symbols form the regular paytable, while the progression mechanics are driven by Ships, Flying Wilds and the eventual transition into Shogun's Treasure. Ship Symbols are collected during the base game and fill a persistent Fleet progression. Every 20 collected Ships advances the Flying Wild to another level. The first version behaves as a standard Wild, while the higher tiers introduce 2x and eventually 3x win multipliers. When the Flying Wild activates, it lands randomly on the reels and removes lower value symbols, replacing them with premium symbols to improve the composition of the grid. The Wild itself substitutes for regular paying symbols. Reaching 60 collected Ships completes the Fleet and activates Shogun's Treasure. The previously hidden fourth row is permanently revealed for the rest of the session, changing the layout from 243 ways to 1024 ways. The Flying Wild mechanic is retired at this point and replaced by Reel Wilds, meaning the expanded game also changes the way Wilds interact with the reels rather than simply adding more symbol positions. Reel Wilds can appear on reels 2, 3 and 4 and expand to cover the entire reel. They substitute for regular paying symbols and can therefore create connections across several of the 1024 available ways simultaneously. Unlocking Shogun's Treasure also immediately awards a Bonus Respin with a guaranteed win, providing an instant reward alongside the permanent grid expansion. Free Games use a separate progression system. Landing 3 Scatter Symbols on reels 1, 3 and 5 awards 10 Free Games, where Keys replace Ships as the important collection symbol. Every third Key reaches another milestone, awarding 2 additional Free Games while simultaneously increasing a Global Multiplier. The first milestone arrives at 3 Keys, adding 2 spins and setting the Global Multiplier to 2x. Reaching 6 Keys increases it to 3x, 9 Keys raise it to 4x and collecting 12 Keys unlocks the maximum 5x multiplier. Each milestone also provides another 2 Free Games. Once the twelfth Key has been collected, the progression is complete and no additional Keys appear. The available Wild mechanic during Free Games depends on the state of the session when the feature begins. The standard Flying Wild is not active during Free Games. If Shogun's Treasure has already been unlocked, however, Reel Wilds remain available on the expanded grid. This creates a stronger version of the bonus where full Wild reels can interact with the persistent Global Multiplier. A Buy Feature provides direct entry into 10 Free Games where the option is available. Before Shogun's Treasure is unlocked, the feature costs 45x the bet and operates at an RTP of 96.06 percent. Once the fourth row has been revealed, the price rises to 55x and the corresponding RTP is 95.93 percent. Standard gameplay is available in 92.24 percent, 94.11 percent and 96.30 percent RTP configurations, with High volatility, a published betting range of 0.10 to 100 and maximum winnings of 3168x the bet. Raiders of the East is at its most distinctive when the session has enough time to develop. Collecting Ships first improves the Flying Wild, then eventually removes that mechanic entirely in favour of an expanded grid and Reel Wilds. Free Games introduce another progression path through Keys and a multiplier reaching 5x. Rather than concentrating everything into a single random bonus trigger, BF Games makes progression itself one of the main features, with the structure of the slot changing once Shogun's Treasure has finally been reached.
